Ugh I so wanted this series to be just one episode longer. I need to see more of Margaret and John being happy together to balance out the sadness of the earlier parts of the story 😭

Oh, why can't we find such love stories anymore...So neat and decent, yet so breathtaking! A lot was conveyed just through silence and stares. Was never fond of modern love stories anyway!

The love in Thornton's eyes, you can see that he was dying to kiss her the moment he saw her and got out of his wagon. Also the of the deep disappointment and rejection Henry felt watching them kiss. It was better for Henry in the end, so he will get over Margrette faster. Maybe he will get together with Miss Lathamer. I wish they would make a part 2. I know the author is long dead, but wouldn't it be great?

This is a nice ending, but in the book it was Henry who arranged for Margaret and Thornton to meet again. I preferred the book ending.

Even when it's fiction, captivating performance of love is magnificent.

The director's superimposing of the landscape reflected in the window as the two main characters (representing North and South) finally come together, symbolises a unity of the two Englands and was very cleverly done.

I want to go back in time and make Margaret’s bridal gown from white cotton from the Mill, lace from London, and a wide sash of very pale pink slipper satin. Even with hoops, it’s going to need so much starch. So when they arrive in Milton, unmarried but traveling together, isn’t that going to make quite the stir? I assume Margaret will have to stay in a hotel until she finds a house for a short time. Then does she move in with Mommy Dearest after the wedding? Or does ma’ama go live with Fannie? Please, I want a scene where Ma’ama drives away to Fannie’s house in a carriage while Margaret stands in the doorway and says “Don’t look back! Don’t look back at me!”
